Restaurants

Valbonne and the surrounding areas have restaurants to cater to all tastes and budgets. Below is a list of our favourite ones. If you are travelling in high season (July and August) it pays always to make a reservation. If you find any gems not mentioned below do let us know!


VALBONNE

  •  Cafe des arcades.  +33 4 93 12 00 06 Casual family style cafe and restaurant and pizzeria on the square. Reservations recommended in the Summer.  This restaurant is open year round from early until late. It’s great also for morning coffees and croissants and general people watching on the square, especially on Fridays when it is market day.

  • Auberge Provencale.  +33 4 93 12 29 73 Another casual restaurant overlooking the square. They serve the usual Provencal fare. You can happily while away evenings sitting outside.

  • La Pigeot.  +33 4 93 12 17 53 Moroccan cuisine, great tagines.

  • Le Bistrot de Sommelier +33 4 93 12 17 95 slightly more formal dining in an intimate setting.

  • Meat and Wine.   +33 7 86 82 06 88 Fairly new restaurant specialising in meat and wine (naturally).

  • Trattoria Quattro.  +33 4 93 75 12 56 Restaurant within easy walking distance serving great Pizza, Provencal dishes and salads.  Beautiful outdoor terrace. The pizza tartufata is to die for!

  • Le Temps de Mets.  +33 4 93 12 11 90 The closest restaurant to the villa, just next to the gate to the domaine.  Good quality hearty food in a relaxed setting and with friendly service.


MOUGINS

  • La Boheme, Mougins +33492929770 . New, lovely restaurant with nice views and absolutely delicious food. Our current favourite.

  • Hotel d’Etang, Mougins.  +33 4 92 28 36 00 Nice setting with views of the surrounding countryside. Lovely food and service.

THEOULE SUR MER

  • L’Aiguille, July and August lunch and dinner are served on the sand. You can book sun loungers (transats) as well as tables. The food is delicious and service always obliging. It’s nice to book a lounger for the day and move between the lounger, the water and the restaurant!

  • Chez Philippe Restaurant set just above the water, specialising in delicious seafood.

ILE ST MARGUERITE

  • La Guerite.  +33 4 92 92 93 03 A Summertime experience not to be missed. Lunchtime service from June to August on the island. You can make your own way there or be taken by the restaurant’s private boat. The rosé flows and the mariachi band plays - Elton John did an impromptu session two years ago and is a regular. Sensational views over the sparkling waters, great celeb watching. Food is great (though on the pricey side as you are paying for the experience) and be prepared to sing and possibly dance.
